I realize that I haven't posted much lately. The year has been so busy that I haven't had much time to keep up with the site.
Despite the chaos we're running well this year. the points race for GT-2 is tight, but fortunately we had a new entrant into the group that is stealing some points away from the guy that is close to me in points, so I got a little breathing room.
Midwest Council rewards consistency as much as finishing position. 1st place is 25 points while second is 20! This means that if you lose your pole-position you are only marginally penalized, but if you DNF or DNS, you lose a LOT of points. The new addition has been gaining fast though because I missed a few races attending other events. Still right now we're 115 points to 65. As long as I make two more racs I should be fine.
The car is holding up well, but I think we're getting close to the life of the engine. Fortuantely I'll be spending more time in the E2/Euroeast racecar that has started construction finally! www.euroeastparts.com We're hoping to compete in the NASA German Touring Sedan class.
